SKPM - Solenoid Key Panel Mounted -
The SKPM consists of an interlock, a solenoid, and an auxiliary switch. The SKPM offers the same functionality as our unhoused SKRU but in a more compact design that makes it ideal for mounting behind a sub panel.

Kirk Key Type SKPM - Solenoid Panel Mounted

Like our other solenoid interlocks, the SKPM is designed to permit removal of the interlock key in response to an electric signal.

Instead of utilizing a terminal block, the SKPM is arranged so that the customer's leads are wired directly to the solenoid and to the auxiliary switch. The SKPM can be installed with the lock cylinder protruding 5/8” or flush mounted (by use of spacers provided). The SKPM is designed so that the key is removable only when the solenoid is energized. The optional signal lamp and push button kits are shipped loose for field wiring by the installing technician.

The auxiliary switch is UL listed. Each SKPM is furnished with two tandem mounted auxiliary switches and a total of 2 N.O. & 2 N.C. auxiliary contacts. The switch rating is:

- 120VAC -
60A make / 6A break / 10A continuous
- 240VAC -
30A make / 3A break / 10A continuous

The SKPM is typically used in combination with other Kirk Key interlocks. The SKPM is not offered with any type of housing. See Data Sheet 2.1 for the SKRU if a housing is required.
